One Good Thing

One Good Thing

With the GOP primaries in full swing many conservatives have started to pick who they think would be the best candidate. I have noticed lately that a lot of supporters of certain candidates have become so obsessed with getting “their guy” elected that they demean and tear down the other candidates.

Healthy debate on policy differences is good for the nation and having contrasting views is important for voters, however, do not become so obsessed with “your guy winning” that you forget that all the candidates have good and electable qualities as well.  I decided to write down one good quality I see in each of the candidates. They are as follows;

Ron Paul – Has a commendable unwavering stance on Free Market Principles

Rick Perry – Charming personality, has one of the best Governor records in the nation

Rick Santorum – The staunchest and most articulate defender of social conservative policies

Mitt Romney – Always very presidential, rarely gets flustered and good business record.

Newt Gingrich – Always one of the best debaters on Stage and has “big ideas” to solve issues.

Get behind the candidate that you feel best represents your beliefs, but don’t become so one minded that you “hate” every other candidate in the race. This is not good for yourself, for the country, or for conservatism.
